Love Songs are like beautiful flowers; Give a listen to Irving Berlin's and Cole Porter's songs.

Top Ten Love Songs - A Composer's Dream - Dorothy Loyd

Listen to ten-plus-one of the greatest songs ever written, sung by California pop vocalist.

"Love Songs hold a 'special meaning' for all of us. For over 30 years, I've enjoyed singing beautiful love songs, and now, I've built this musical site for music lovers to enjoy.

Thanks to pianist extraordinaire, Jack Nye, who recorded our rehearsal one day at his North Hollywood studio, this taping of songs turned out rather well. I offer our combined talents for your listening pleasure. His Steinway Grand Piano really enhances this recording. Choose your favorite song, relax, dream, and relive the era of beautiful music."

In the 1950's, Jack Nye toured with famous singer, Hildegarde, as her accompanist and Musical Director. The Jack Nye Orchestra performed at the Trocadero, Ambassador Hotel's Coconut Grove, Roosevelt Hotel's Cinegrill in Hollywood, and other night clubs on the West Coast, wherever "stars" were seen dancing and romancing.

I'm planning on recording my "first" CD soon; if anyone knows of a good pianist with a rhythm backup section that knows "forties" music, please email me.
